Food Drive: Thank you for your support

The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto and the Stronger Together Coalition had organized a Holiday Season Food Drive from Dec 17 (Friday) to Dec 19 (Sunday).
The three-day event is a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community by helping those facing food insecurity to access much needed food items during the holiday season. The Covid 19 pandemic has resulted in significant financial difficulty for many Canadians. The goal of this Stronger Together Food Drive is to alleviate some of the hardships through our combine efforts to show our compassion and that Asians care.
It was a drive-through with volunteers who helped to pick up the food stuff from donors’ cars. For those who had donated cash towards the ST Food Drive, we had helped them purchase non-perishable food. All the items had been picked up by Daily Bread Food Bank and we are waiting for the results from them.

大多倫多中華文化中心和“眾志成城”聯盟會在12月17日至12月19日舉辦了食物募捐活動。此次活動所收集到的食物均會全數捐助到每日麵包食物銀行組織 (The Daily Bread Food Bank)。

這次為期三天的食物募捐活動是一個回饋社區的寶貴機會，大家的慷慨捐贈將會幫助社區正在面臨飢餓問題的人士在佳節期間獲得急需的食物。新冠疫情給許多加拿大人帶來了嚴重的經濟困難， 所以我們尤其想要通過這次“眾志成城” 食品募捐活動來對這些需要幫助的社區人士獻出溫暖，盡我們所能為他們減輕一些困難。
