Seminars on the History of Cantonese Opera (in Cantonese)
Objective: To promote the traditional arts of Lingnan: Cantonese Opera
To explain the historical stories, characters, poems and idioms in the songs.
Presented by famous Cantonese Opera playwright and composer: Ms Yuen Mei.
Contents include:
The origin of Cantonese Opera, types of Cantonese Opera, themes, evolution of Cantonese Opera, the value and status of Cantonese Opera in Chinese society, the writing career and journey of playwrights.
Dates: Starting from April 12, the seminars will be held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month (May 24 will be postponed to May 31 due to the concert), for a total of 6 times.

宗旨：弘揚嶺南傳統藝術：粵劇
講解歌曲中的歷史故事、人物、詩詞、成語。
由著名粵劇編劇及作曲家：阮眉女士主理。
內容包括：
粵劇的起源、粵劇的劇種、題材、粵劇的演變、粵劇在中國社會的價值與地位、劇作家的寫作生涯與心路歷程。
時間：4月12日起，每月第二、第四個星期六舉辦講座（5月24日因音樂會延期至5月31日），共6次。
時間：上午11：00至下午12：30
地點：大多倫多中華文化中心（5183 Sheppard Avenue East）
費用：6堂課30加幣
