CCC Music Festival 2020 Goes Online & Successful
Toronto, September 24, 2020 – The 11th annual CCC Music Festival (CCCMF) 2020 has come to a successful conclusion under the leadership of Dr. Adrian Cheung, Festival President, and Artistic Directors Dr. Younggun Kim (Piano) and Dr. Conrad Chow (Violin). CCCMF, a signature annual event of the Centre, has been enthusiastically supported by piano and violin teachers, students and parents as one of the best music festivals in Canada.
Due to Covid-19, CCCMF 2020 had to go online. Beyond our expectations, over four hundred entries were received and the contestants were adjudicated by a panel of renowned musician jurors. About thirty winners are selected to perform at the Award Ceremony and Gala Concert on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at the P.C. Ho Theatre, a first class concert hall.
As the health and safety of all those involved is our highest priority, the Award Ceremony and Gala Concert will be limited to only the winning performers with two guests each, abiding to the guidelines of the City. The ceremony will be divided into three parts, with eight to ten performers at each session. The schedule is as follows:
Part One 11:00 am to 12:30pm
Part Two 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Part Three 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Sanitization of theatre seats will take place in between each session.
Spectators can also visit cccmusicfestival.org to enjoy the live-stream performance on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 11am to 5:30pm. We thank all participants for embracing the online festival with passion and dedication. Your sense of responsibilities, ability to work under pressure and self confidence has inspired us all. We are also very grateful to have the support of The Daniels Corporation as this year’s Presenting Sponsor, Yamaha Canada as the Official Piano Sponsor, Petit Potato and Sunny Windows and Doors Corp. as Trophy Sponsors.
