多市议会批准地标亚洲花园专案,以庆祝文化遗产 (Easyca.ca)

Toronto City Council officially approved the development of Cynthia Lai Park (formerly Rose Bank Park), located at 1051 Progress Avenue, in memory of Councillor Cynthia Lai who passed away in 2022. The park, situated at the intersection of Markham Road and Sheppard Avenue, covers 4.3 hectares and features green spaces, horticultural displays, and a basketball court. This marks a historic milestone in the city’s commitment to cultural diversity and community-led local development.

Led by the Greater Toronto Chinese Cultural Centre (CCCGT), the project will transform the 1.5-acre park at 5183 Sheppard Ave East into a vibrant cultural destination. The garden is envisioned as a gift to the city, celebrating Asian heritage through traditional landscaping and modern community spaces.

多伦多市议会於12月17日正式批准开发位于Progress大道1051号为纪念于2022年因病逝世的市议员封赖桂霞(Cynthia Lai)改名Cynthia Lai Park (原玫瑰银行公园)该公园位于Markham Road夹Sheppard Avenue,占地4.3公顷,设有绿地、园艺展示及篮球场,这标志着该市致力於文化多样性和社群主导的地方建设的历史性里程碑。
